Former England midfielder Frank Lampard has said that he was very happy with his country's performance against Panama on Sunday afternoon.
The Three Lions thumped Panama 6-1 at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium as Harry Kane scored a hat-trick to become the leading scorer in the World Cup in Russia.
The victory marks England's biggest ever win at the World Cup finals, and Lampard admired the squad's mercilessness on the day.
"We were brilliant," Lampard told reporters.
"Panama are not at the same level, we know that, but the only thing you can do as an England team is dispatch what is in front of you, and they did it with an absolutely ruthless streak."
England will play Belgium in their final group game on Tuesday, with knockout stage qualification already secured.
