Everton midfielder Leon Osman has admitted that it was vital for the club to secure all three points against Swansea on Wednesday evening.
The 30-year-old followed up his equaliser against Norwich at the weekend with the winner against Swansea, and he was quick to hail the importance of the win.
"It was a big game for us. We didn't get the win we deserved against Norwich, so that made it even more important," Osman told The Sun.
"We needed at least four points from those two home games. So hopefully we'll go into these next couple of away games with a bit of confidence. Confidence is probably the biggest thing in football. If you've got it, a mediocre player can be brilliant on his day."
Everton continue their league campaign against Sunderland on Monday afternoon.
