Paulo Sousa: 'Fiorentina can compete for title'

Paulo Sousa says that Fiorentina can win the Serie A title after their strong start to the season.

Fiorentina manager Paulo Sousa has claimed that his team can compete for the Serie A title this season.

The Viola regained their place at the top of the table following a 4-1 victory over Frosinone this afternoon.

"I have always said we can compete with anyone and that means we can compete for the Scudetto," Sousa told Mediaset Premium.

"We must always be competitive and I believe our Scudetto must be continually seeking a winning mentality.

"In order to go all the way, we need to always have the idea of dominating games. If we do this, we can compete to the end."

Fiorentina have won eight of their 11 league games this season.
