Hugo Lloris has said that France should concentrate on progressing beyond the group stage of the 2014 World Cup finals before raising their ambitions.
Didier Deschamps's side completed a turnaround in their World Cup qualifying playoff tie against Ukraine on Tuesday, advancing to next summer's tournament with a 3-2 aggregate victory after winning the second leg 3-0 in Paris.
"The finals are far away as we're not even halfway through the season," the goalkeeper told RMC. "It'll be a great event and the first objective will be to get through the group.
"We don't know who we'll play yet. We have to show our best face, push beyond our limits and go and get the sort of results we got on Tuesday.
"We put in a great amount of effort and saw that the team wanted to dominate our opponents."
Lloris has featured in 54 international matches for France.
