Granada fined over umbrella incident

Spanish club Granada have been fined around £5,000 as a punishment for Sunday's La Liga fixture against Real Mallorca having to be abandoned.

The referee took both sets of players off the pitch when his assistant was struck on the head by an umbrella.

As well as the fine, Granada have also been advised that they will be forced to play matches behind closed doors should a similar incident occur.

The remaining 30 minutes of the postponed match will be played before the end of the month, although spectators will be banned.
