Sevilla battled back from a goal and a man down to earn a credible draw at Granada on Sunday.
Sevilla had keeper Diego Lopez sent off for a foul in the penalty area on Granada forward Floro Flores.
Granada missed the resulting spot kick but Mikel Rico was on hand to smash home from the rebound on 37 minutes.
Sevilla found a quick response and were on level terms before half time through Spanish international Alvaro Negredo.
The away team held on in the second half to take a hard-earned point back to Seville.
Granada dominated for long spells and will be disappointed not to take all three points after having a man advantage for nearly an hour.
