Granada 2-1 Celta Vigo

Granada move out of the La Liga relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo.

Granada are out of the La Liga relegation zone after a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday.

The home side took the lead with 12 minutes on the clock when Guillherme Siqueira dispatched a penalty after Carlos Bellvis had felled Gabriel Torje in the area.

Chances continued to fall the home side's way early on and they moved into a two-goal lead when Torje converted a powerful effort from close range.

Celta Vigo were back in the match moments later, however, when Iago Aspas pounced in the box before finding the corner of the net.

The away side continued to create chances as the match developed, with Augusto Fernandez twice coming close to levelling the scores.

The second period followed a similar pattern as Celta Vigo strived for the equaliser, but the home side hung on in the final moments to secure a vital three points in the context of their season.
