Late Tomer Hemed header gives Real Mallorca victory

A late winner from Tomer Hemed gave Mallorca a 2-1 win over Granada in La Liga.

A goal deep in stoppage time has given Real Mallorca a 2-1 win over Granada in La Liga this lunchtime.

Granada made a strong start to the match, Nolito looking for goal with a free kick but Dudu Aouate made the save.

However, Nolito broke the deadlock moments later by heading in a cross from Inigo Lopez.

The visitors looked to be struggling to create chances, but a break from Giovani dos Santos allowed Alejandro Alfaro to tap the ball in from close range, cancelling out Granada's advantage after just four minutes.

The hosts had the better of the chances to find a winner in the second half, but strikes from Carlos Aranda, Odion Ighalo and Recio were all off-target.

Mallorca created few chances in the second period, but a corner in the fourth minute of injury time resulted in a header from Tomer Hemed, giving the visitors the winner with the final action of the game.

The result leaves Mallorca four points from safety, while Granada sit 16th in the table.
