Steve Bruce has admitted that his side's draw against Aston Villa had 0-0 "written all over it".
Both teams struggled to create chances at the KC Stadium and had to settle for a point in their Premier League clash.
"For me it had 0-0 written all over it from the minute it kicked off," he told Sky Sports News. "We'll take it and move on. We've got to be delighted.
"We've played four games at home and won two and drawn two, which is a great start. We didn't play very well today but we've got something from the game."
While the game lacked a creative spark, Bruce insists that he was impressed with the organisation of his players.
He added: "We're a newly promoted team and the one things you have to be is thoroughly well organised, and you need the players to do it and be confident. Overall we did that and got ourselves a point."
Hull's next match is away to Everton in a fortnight.
