Cesare Prandelli says that Italy will be the underdogs when they meet Germany in the Euro 2012 semi-finals.

Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has insisted that Germany are the favourites ahead of their semi-final meeting at Euro 2012.

The Azzurri advanced from the last eight after beating England on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes. The Germans cruised past Greece 4-2 on Friday, and Prandelli feels that their opponents have the upper hand ahead of the match.

"Germany are definitely the favourites, not least because they've had two more days to recover," said Prandelli.

"But if we show the same attitude and desire to again then we can expect to play another great match.

"We're very satisfied but we've got to try get the injured players back, as well as our force and energy,"

The semi-final between Germany and Italy takes place on Thursday.
