Miroslav Klose fires Lazio past Torino

Miroslav Klose scores as Lazio beat Torino 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico to stretch their winning run in Serie A to four games.

Miroslav Klose came off the bench to score the winner as Lazio claimed a 2-1 victory over Torino in Serie A this evening.

Lucas Biglia fired Lazio ahead in the 15th minute when his curling free kick from just outside the box found the bottom corner.

They almost doubled their lead moments later, but Antonio Candreva saw his effort touched onto the post by Jean-Francois Gillet.

Eight minutes after the break Torino levelled the scores as Alexander Farnerud pounced on a loose ball just outside the box, before drilling an effort low past Federico Marchetti.

On the hour mark Lazio restored their lead when Candreva's powerful free kick was beaten away and Klose made no mistake to slot home the rebound.

The visitors could not respond for the second time as Lazio held on to win their fourth successive league match and move up to fifth in the table.
