Former Leeds United, Birmingham City and Wales goalkeeper Gary Sprake has died at the age of 71.
A member of Don Revie's Leeds side which won the First Division title in 1969, making more than 500 appearances during 11 years at Elland Road, Swansea-born Sprake went on to play for the Blues at the end of his career and won 37 caps for Wales.
"It is with immense sadness that today Leeds United Football Club learnt of the passing of former goalkeeper, Gary Sprake at the age of 71," read a statement from Leeds.
"All the players, management and staff at Leeds United sends its condolences and support to the Sprake family at this difficult time."
Sprake also won a second division winner's medal in addition to the League Cup in 1968 and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups.
