Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has heaped praised on goalscoring pair Leonardo Ulloa and Chris Wood after their goals earned their side a Premier League opening-day 2-2 draw with Everton.
Debutant Ulloa equalised in the first half for the Foxes, before Wood's late goal helped secured a point.
Following the game, Pearson stated his happiness for the duo, who he said have had a tough time of late.
He told LCFC.com: "I think for Leo coming with the talk about how much he's cost, he's valued very much among the group of players. I'm very pleased for him to get off the mark.
"For Chris Wood on the back of a week with the amount of speculation surrounding his own personal situation it speaks volumes for the lad that he can come on and having one chance took it very, very well.
"All in all it's been a good day for both of those two but you keep it in context, it's about what we've done as a team and I think we thoroughly deserved to get something out the game today."
Pearson's men won the Championship with 102 points last season.
