Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy is reportedly ready to leave the club at the end of the season, with CSKA Moscow interested in him.

Nampalys Mendy is ready to leave Leicester City, according to a report.

The midfielder has been left out of the squad this season by Brendan Rodgers, yet he has previously made 80 appearances for the Foxes, with 29 of those taking place in the previous campaign.

However, the 29-year-old was involved in the recent Africa Cup of Nations, representing Senegal, despite the fact he has not played in the Premier League, and he was used five times in the tournament.

According to Transfermarkt, Mendy is ready to leave the club at the end of the season, and CSKA Moscow are ready to make a move for him in the summer transfer market.

The Russian outfit were impressed by his performances during the international competition, with his energy being a big reason for that.

The Senegal international was a record-breaking signing for Leicester City when he originally joined the club, costing them £13m in 2016, making the move from Nice.
