Liverpool striker Fabio Borini expresses his delight following his recovery from a broken foot.

Fabio Borini has revealed that he does not feel like he has started his career as a Liverpool player.

The Italian striker joined the Reds during the summer from Roma, only to break his foot in October, which resulted in him spending four months on the sidelines.

However, having returned to action from the bench against Manchester United at the weekend, the 21-year-old has admitted that he is now determined to prove his worth at Anfield.

"My Liverpool career is actually starting now, I think," Borini told the club's official website. "I'd only played five league games and six or seven games in the Europa League [before the injury], which is not a lot.

"It really starts now with great intensity week in, week out to get playing again."

Borini managed to find the net once before his injury.
