Brendan Rodgers hits out at 'diving' Alexis Sanchez

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers accuses Alexis Sanchez of diving to win the free kick that Arsenal equalised from.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has slammed Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez for his perceived theatrics in this evening's 2-2 draw at Anfield.

The Chilean won a free kick late in the first half as the Mathieu Debuchy eventually levelled up the game at 1-1 directly from that set piece.

"I didn't think it was a free kick. I think Sanchez dived when he realised he was not getting the ball," Rodgers, who tried to sign Sanchez from Barcelona in the summer, told reporters at full time.

"But to lose three one-on-one headers in the box is not about organisation, it's about winning duels and we have to be better than that."

Olivier Giroud had fired the Gunners into a 2-1 lead as Arsene Wenger's side looked on course for victory, but Martin Skrtel headed home a 97th-minute equaliser to earn a point for the Reds.
