Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his side will be "fearless" when they welcome Manchester City to Anfield next Sunday.
The Merseyside outfit remain with a two-point lead at the top of the Premier League table following Sunday's 2-1 victory over West Ham United.
Despite the Reds being four points ahead of City, who have two games in hand, Rodgers believes that all the pressure will be on Manuel Pellegrini's side heading into the weekend.
"The team we have put together, the mentality is to be fearless," Rodgers told reporters. "It doesn't matter who we play. We have to respect [City] as they have world-class players, but it's about ourselves and the confidence we have to play, and for the youngsters to enjoy it.
"The pressure is on them because they've spent money and what they've done in the last couple of years has been fantastic. They're a fantastic football club and they've invested to win the league and the Champions League. They'll be looking to come to Anfield and get a result, but we're just going to enjoy it."
City are currently third in the standings, while Chelsea sit second, two points adrift of Liverpool on the same games.
