Liverpool new boy Wataru Endo has been named on the bench for Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
The 30-year-old Japan midfielder completed his move from Stuttgart to Anfield on Friday and received international clearance to make his debut against the Cherries.
However, Endo has unsurprisingly been included as a substitute one day after his arrival in the UK, as Jurgen Klopp sticks with the same starting XI from last weekend's 1-1 stalemate with Chelsea.
Curtis Jones misses out following reports of an ankle injury, but Stefan Bajcetic is back on the bench after recovering from the adductor problem which prematurely ended his 2022-23 season.
Cody Gakpo therefore starts in the middle alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister once more, while Diogo Jota keeps his place up front over Darwin Nunez.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has made one change from the team that drew with West Ham United last week, bringing in Antoine Semenyo to join ex-Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke in attack, as David Brooks drops to the bench.
Marcos Senesi has recovered from a bout of cramp, while Lloyd Kelly is also back on the bench following a recent injury.
