Al-Hilal are reportedly showing an interest in signing Colombia international Luis Diaz from Liverpool.

Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool forward Luis Diaz.

Al-Hilal are just one of a number of Saudi Arabian clubs to have splashed the cash this summer, spending over £100m on three signings.

Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly have arrived from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea respectively, while Sergej Milinkovic-Savic became Al-Hilal's latest recruit after completing a move from Lazio.

As one of four Saudi Pro League sides that are backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Al-Hilal are keen to make further additions to their squad.

They have already had two bids turned down for Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic and a £18m offer rejected for Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez.

According to The Guardian, Al-Hilal have now identified another potential target in Diaz, and they are expected to make an approach.

The report claims that Liverpool have no intention of selling the Colombia international, who still has four years left to run on his current contract.

Since joining the Reds from Porto in January 2022, Diaz has gone on to score 11 goals and register eight assists in 47 appearances.

The 26-year-old, who has earned 39 caps for Colombia, spent six months of the 2022-23 campaign on the sidelines due to a serious knee injury.

Diaz has become the latest Liverpool player to be linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, with midfield duo Fabinho and Jordan Henderson also attracting interest.

Fabinho has been left out of Liverpool's pre-season training camp in Germany as they weigh up whether to accept a £40m offer from Al-Ittihad.

Meanwhile, newly-appointed Al-Ettifaq boss Steven Gerrard is keen to bring his former Liverpool teammate Henderson to Saudi Arabia.

Henderson is believed to be open to the move, but the Reds are not prepared to allow their captain to walk away on a cut-price deal.
