Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a January move for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar.
The Reds are expected to enter the winter transfer market for a new defender, having lost Virgil van Dijk to a serious knee injury, potentially for the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign.
Schalke 04 duo Ozan Kabak and Malick Thiaw have been linked with moves to Anfield, but according to ESPN, the Premier League champions have also identified Skriniar as a target.
The Slovakia international has previously been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United, while a move to Tottenham Hotspur was also thought to be an open during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old fell down the pecking order at San Siro in the latter stages of last season and is no longer considered to be indispensable for the Italian outfit, having only made two Serie A appearances this term.
Skriniar's existing deal at San Siro is due to expire in the summer of 2023.
