Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio is on the verge of signing a new contract with a reduced buyout clause, according to reports.
The 24-year-old, whose current release clause is said to be around £42m, has been in good form for the Primeira Liga champions this season, scoring nine goals in 28 appearances.
According to Portuguese publication O Jogo, Benfica are in negotiations with agent Agustin Jimenez to extend Salvio's contract, with the buyout clause being lowered to the £25m mark.
