Joe Allen has insisted that Wales can build on the confidence gained by beating Scotland to get their World Cup qualifying campaign back on track.
A stunning late strike from Gareth Bale secured Chris Coleman's side a vital three points on Friday and earn his first competitive win as Wales boss.
Liverpool midfielder Allen thinks that Wales can use the result as a catalyst to surprise Croatia on Tuesday night.
He told The Sun: "Hopefully we can use Friday's performance and result to build on our position in the group.
"It was a much-needed win against Scotland. We showed great character and that was the biggest thing.
"We've got another massive game ahead of us against a tough nation in Croatia. But let's hope the confidence we take from the Scotland game can help us get something out there."
Wales travel to Osiek on Tuesday without Aaron Ramsey through suspension, piling the pressure on Allen and Bale to produce strong performances against the Croatians.
