Wednesday's Coupe de France predictions including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Brest

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Coupe de France fixtures, including

Lyon vs. Lille (Wednesday, 5.30pm)

Lyon and Lille are back in action in the Coupe de France when they go head to head at the Groupama Stadium for a place in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Les Gones beat Bergerac Perigord 2-1 in their most recent knockout encounter, while the Mastiffs pipped Racing Colombes 92 1-0 to reach the round of 16.

We say: Lyon 1-2 Lille

Lyon have managed to put together some good performances and results under the new manager, but Lille have been better this season. We are backing the Mastiffs to record a slim victory here and progress to the next round.

Montpellier vs. Nice (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Montpellier HSC and Nice will face off in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France at Stade de la Mosson-Mondial 98 on Wednesday evening.

The hosts have won this tournament twice in the past but last lifted the trophy in 1990, while the visitors last won the tournament in 1997, which was the third triumph in their history.

We say: Montpellier HSC 1-1 Nice

Despite the gap in the league standings between these sides, Montpellier have fared well on their home patch this season and head into this match unbeaten in their last four on home soil. In contrast, Nice have struggled to find wins on the road of late and failed to score in three of their last four away league matches.

We are expecting a tight and tactical match here and feel that we may need penalties to find the winner in this one.

Strasbourg vs. Le Havre (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Le Havre can book their place in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France for the first time in over 60 years with a victory over Strasbourg on Wednesday at Stade de la Meinau.

Le Racing clinched a spot in the last 16 thanks to a comfortable 3-1 triumph over Clermont, while a late first-half strike versus Chateauroux enabled the club from Normandy to triumph 1-0.

We say: Strasbourg 1-1 Le Havre (Strasbourg advance on penalties)

These sides are separated by a just single point in Ligue 1, with Strasbourg holding a slight edge in the top flight this season.

We expect to see an even contest on Wednesday, but we are leaning towards the home side because of their consistent form lately and depth.

PSG vs. Brest (Wednesday, 8.10pm)

The headline fixture in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France will come from Parc des Princes, where Paris Saint-Germain will take on Brest on Wednesday evening.

This match will see two of Ligue 1's best teams this season duke it out for a spot in the last eight, with PSG currently leading the league standings while Brest are in third place.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 Brest

Brest's performance against PSG in the league last month will give them tremendous confidence coming into this match, but it is difficult to back against the Parisians, especially on their home patch. We are expecting another solid performance by the visitors but fancy the 14-time winners of this competition to progress to the last eight.
