Javier Mascherano wary of Sergio Aguero threat

Javier Mascherano believes that Barcelona must keep his international teammate Sergio Aguero quiet in their Champions League tie with Manchester City.

Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano is wary of the threat posed by Sergio Aguero when Manchester City visit the Camp Nou tomorrow night.

City travel to Barca in the Champions League after losing the first leg of their knockout tie 2-0.

Mascherano believes that City will attack and is aware of what his international teammate Aguero can do.

"I think we are going to see Man City go all out attack," he told reporters. "That is the way they normally play.

"Sergio is someone I know well and for me is one of the five best strikers in the world.

"Given space he is the type of player who can destroy you so we have to ensure he doesn't get that space and doesn't feel comfortable."

Mascherano also revealed that Barca want to silence recent critics with a good performance tomorrow.
