Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has described Leroy Sane as "a superb player" who can take the German champions to the next level.
Sane appeared to fall out of favour under Pep Guardiola in the second half of the 2018-19 campaign, starting just nine times in the Premier League between the turn of the year and the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, with Bayern believed to be leading the way for his signature.
Lewandowski would love to see Sane make the switch to the Allianz Arena in order to turn Bayern back into a European superpower.
"That's a super player with great qualities and great potential," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "I've already seen many times how good he is.
"That's a player who can immediately take us higher, who improves the team."
Bayern waved goodbye to long-serving wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben after last weekend's 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt, which sealed them a seventh Bundesliga title in a row.
