Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente has revealed that he is not in talks with Manchester City over a potential move.
The 27-year-old, who is out of contract at San Mames next summer, had been linked with a £28m move to the Premier League champions earlier this week.
However, Llorente has instead claimed that he is due to hold contract talks with Bilbao over an extended deal.
"I understand these rumours appear in the papers to increase sales but it is not correct," he told radio station Cedena Cope.
"I am not negotiating with City or any other club. I am happy in Bilbao.
"Athletic have offered me a new deal and we are speaking."
Llorente, who is expected to be named in Spain's Euro 2012 squad, scored 29 goals in 51 games last season.
