Albert Rusnak has returned to Manchester City after his loan spell with Oldham Athletic was cut short.
The 19-year-old was due to remain at Boundary Park until January, but a statement on the Latics' official website has confirmed that the teenager has returned to his parent club.
The statement read: "All parties felt it was better for Rusnak to pursue the opportunities available to him with City's Elite Development Squad. Manager Lee Johnson says he is disappointed the loan didn't work out."
Rusnak made three appearances during his time with the League One club.
