Leny Yoro has vowed to return "stronger" from the foot injury that will sideline him until November.
Manchester United signed the 18-year-old from Lille on July 18, and he made his debut for the Red Devils just two days later, featuring for the opening 45 minutes of a pre-season friendly against Rangers.
Yoro then travelled with the Man United squad to the United States for their pre-season tour, but he picked up a foot injury in the friendly with Arsenal.
Tests revealed that the Frenchman had suffered a fractured metatarsal, and he underwent an operation earlier this week, with his rehabilitation already beginning.
Yoro has taken to social media to reveal that his "operation went well", and the teenager is now focusing on returning to action as soon as possible.

Yoro says foot operation "went well"
"This is not the start I wanted, but that's football. The operation went well. Thank you for your many messages of support. Now, time for patience and rehabilitation work. See you soon, stronger," Yoro posted on X.
Yoro made 44 appearances for Lille last season, including 32 outings in Ligue 1, and he had been expected to start the new campaign in the middle of the Man United defence despite his inexperience.
However, the centre-back will be on the sidelines for the next three months, with his debut for the Red Devils potentially coming against Chelsea at the start of November.
Man United have defensive problems ahead of Saturday's Community Shield fixture with Manchester City, as Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are both doubts, while Harry Maguire missed the team's final match of their US Tour against Liverpool on Saturday night.

Will Man United sign another centre-back this summer?
Another centre-back arrival would have been on the cards for Man United even if Yoro was not injured, as the club are believed to be keen to move Lindelof on and bring in a replacement.
Matthijs de Ligt remains their main target, but the 20-time English champions have thus far been unable to come to an agreement with Bayern Munich over a deal for the Netherlands international.
Man United are believed to have been close to signing De Ligt before the Yoro move went through, as the English side moved quickly to sign the teenager ahead of Real Madrid.
Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite is also still thought to be on the club's radar, although the Toffees are said to be unwilling to drop their £70m asking price for the English centre-back.
