Adidas have denied suggestions that they have been in contact with Manchester United to discuss a possible return to the field for English forward Mason Greenwood.
The 21-year-old recently had all criminal charges against him dropped, and he is now preparing to resume his career during the 2023-24 campaign, having not played since January 2022.
A recent report claimed that Adidas had approved Greenwood's return to the field, with the Red Devils close to making a final decision on his future at the club.
However, Man United's kit manufacturer have firmly denied any discussions with the 20-time English champions over Greenwood.
"After inaccurate and speculative reporting within the media it's important for us to clarify that Adidas has had no discussions with Manchester United regarding any member of their playing squad," read a statement from Adidas.

"We play no role in any decisions made regarding any member of the team or staff at the club."
In early 2022, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and he was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
The forward was also facing charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but it was announced in February that all charges against him had been dropped.
Man United's plans for Greenwood at this stage remains unclear, but it is still thought to be most likely that he will head out on loan during the 2023-24 campaign.

AC Milan, Roma, Juventus and Atalanta BC are among the clubs thought to be interested in taking the youngster on loan for the new season.
Man United head coach Erik ten Hag is believed to be against the idea of Greenwood leaving on a permanent basis, while a contract termination is not expected to occur.
The forward, who has scored 35 goals and registered 12 assists in 129 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, has another two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, with the option of a further 12 months.
Greenwood has recently been pictured training alone, but it is believed that Man United are closely monitoring his fitness, as a final call from the club on their academy product moves closer.
