Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that he has no regrets about missing out on the signing of striker Radamel Falcao over the summer.
The Serie A giants were linked with the Colombian during the last transfer window, but Manchester United ended up taking him on a season-long loan from Monaco.
"Am I disappointed at not getting Falcao? No," the Italian told reporters. "We worked well, with targeted operations, without buying just for the sake of buying.
"If we had found the player truly capable of helping the team make a step up in quality, then okay, otherwise there's no point when we already have such a strong squad."
Falcao was able to complete his move to United on deadline day after the Red Devils were granted an extension to complete the deal.
