Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho has conceded that he has found it difficult to show his best form this season after a summer of transfer speculation.
The England international was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer, but the deadline passed with the former Manchester City youngster still at Signal Iduna Park.
United allegedly made four separate offers for the attacker but were not prepared to meet Dortmund's asking price, which is thought to have been in the region of £108m.
Sancho has still not scored in the Bundesliga this season but provided a goal and an assist in his side's 3-0 win over Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and the attacker said after the match that he is determined to return to his best form in the coming weeks.
"I am just happy that I am playing," Sancho told DAZN. "I have coaches and teammates that believe in me. Recently, it's been a hard situation for me. But it's all about how I come back and have performances like this [against Brugge]. They will hopefully get me back to the top, how I was playing before."
A recent report claimed that the 20-year-old had informed his club that he wants to join Man United during next summer's transfer window.
