Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has heaped praise on teammate Alejandro Garnacho following Thursday's 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol.
The 18-year-old was given his first start for the club by Erik ten Hag in Thursday's Europa League win against Sheriff at Old Trafford.
Garnacho impressed during his 79 minutes on the pitch, and after the game he was praised by Rashford, who scored United's second goal of the contest.
The England international told MUTV: "Yeah, he [Garnacho] did brilliantly, I think he expressed himself and played positive football and the only thing missing was a goal really.
"I bet that would have made him very happy and yeah, I'm pleased for him. Hopefully he can kick on now, start getting more minutes and keep performing."
Garnacho, who is under contract until 2025, has recently spent time in the academy system at Old Trafford and Thursday's game represented the sixth time that he has played for the senior side.
