Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund says that he is "not the finished article", as he opens up on his start to life at the club.

Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund has said that he is "not the finished article", with the Denmark international vowing to continue working hard in a bid to prove himself at the top level.

The 20-year-old has scored three times in 10 appearances for the 20-time English champions since his arrival from Atalanta BC during the summer transfer window.

All of Hojlund's goals have come in the Champions League, and he is yet to find the back of the net in his six Premier League outings this term.

Man United head coach Erik ten Hag recently backed the youngster to soon hit the goal trail in England's top flight, and Hojlund has now opened up on his start to life at Old Trafford.

"It has been alright (his form this season). I've tried my best every time I play, and I still need to find the rhythm. We have been struggling a little bit, but we are getting there now. We have had three wins in a row, so that is very positive," Hojlund told reporters following Tuesday's 1-0 win over Copenhagen.

"For sure (still getting used to the Premier League). I improve every day and my teammates are starting to see my patterns in the game as well, so it is getting better and better every day.

"I know my worth. I know I have to perform every day because I play for Manchester United. In the end, I am only 20 years old and I am not the finished article yet.

"I still have a lot to improve and I am getting there slowly. I reckon I have had a fine start to the season and now we have to keep building and the goals will come in the Premier League."

Hojlund also commented on playing alongside Marcus Rashford, with the pair attempting to build a relationship in the final third of the field.

"Yeah, you can see we are trying to find each other," he added. "In the Sheffield [United] game, he nearly got an assist to me, and I think he has already assisted me twice in the Champions League.

"We are definitely trying to find each other on the pitch and I also tried to find him with a deep pass today, so we have a good connection."

Hojlund was again central to Man United's attacking work against Copenhagen on Tuesday, but it was a second-half header from Harry Maguire that decided the contest at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag's side will now switch their attention back to the Premier League, with Manchester City heading to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Hojlund is again expected to get the nod through the middle against the Citizens, with Anthony Martial currently being forced to accept a back-up role in the final third of the field.
