Manchester United are reportedly preparing to offer David de Gea a new contract.
The Spanish goalkeeper was in fine form for his country's Under-21 side this summer after an impressive season at club level.
According to Goal.com, United will reward the 22-year-old for his performances with a £20,000-a-week pay rise.
De Gea's current £55,000-a-week deal ends in 2016, but United want to extend that by two years, increasing his wages to £75,000-a-week in the process.
With Victor Valdes's Barcelona career coming to an end, United fear that the Spanish champions could turn their attention to their number one custodian.
They want to tie De Gea down for the long term as new boss David Moyes looks to make his mark at Old Trafford.
