Mauricio Pochettino admits he would love to return to management in the near future, with the Argentine heavily linked with the Manchester United job.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is ready to return to the dugout amid links with the Manchester United job.

The Argentine is yet to take on his next role in management since being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur almost a year ago, despite a number of big sides reportedly eyeing up Pochettino as their next leader.

The ex-Spurs boss has been tipped to return to the Premier League with United, who are faltering in the top flight under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Pochettino has confirmed that he is looking forward to his return in management when the time comes.

"I always feel ready to be again involved in the game," Pochettino told Sky Sports News. "I love football. It's my passion, it's not my job.

"It's not a stress when you are working. It's not a stress to go to the training ground. It's not a stress to prepare the game, it's not a stress to compete.

"My hair is getting longer and longer, but I hope to cut it as soon as we start working again. I'm looking forward to being involved in the game again. I love the game. In these times it is difficult. We are inside, we are working, doing things.

"But it's not the same as being involved every single day, to share with your players, with your staff, with the club. I think you always miss that. That's the reality."

United have already beaten Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig in the Champions League, but Solskjaer's men sit 15th in the fledgling Premier League table without a home win to their name in the top flight so far this season.
