Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Athletic Bilbao attacker Nico Williams during this summer's transfer window.
There remains ongoing speculation surrounding the Spain international's future despite the fact that he recently signed a new contract at San Mames until June 2027.
The release clause in the forward's deal is believed to be just €50m (£43m), though, and a number of clubs are being linked with him ahead of the summer market.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are both thought to be admirers of the 21-year-old, but the strongest interest is believed to be arriving from the Premier League.

Manchester United and Aston Villa are among the English clubs to be linked with him, but according to El Chiringuito, Arsenal are at the head of the queue for his services.
The report claims that the Gunners are now 'pushing' to sign Williams, with the club keen for a deal to be secured before he potentially turns out for Spain at the European Championship.
At this stage, it is unclear whether Mikel Arteta's side will attempt to enter into negotiations over the fee, as it has previously been claimed that the North London club would be willing to meet his current release clause.
Williams has been in excellent form for Athletic during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring five goals and registering 10 assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
The forward is bidding to help the Lions secure a Champions League finish in the La Liga table, in addition to win the Copa del Rey, with Ernesto Valverde's side taking on Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals.

Williams has managed three goals and seven assists in 20 La Life appearances this season, while his record in the Copa del Rey stands at two goals and three assists in four outings.
The Spaniard has been with Athletic since 2013, progressing through the various age groups at the club before working his way into the first team in 2021.
In total, the forward has made 109 appearances for the Lions, scoring 17 goals and registering 17 assists in the process.
Arsenal are believed to view Williams as the ideal player to provide support for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in the wide areas at the Emirates Stadium.
