Arsenal are reportedly lining up a £35.4m swoop for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani during the January transfer window.
Arsene Wenger is understood to be looking at defensive reinforcements ahead of the window re-opening next month, having seen his side concede the joint-most goals in the top seven so far this season.
Italian outlet Il Posticipo reports that the Gunners have identified Rugani as an ideal candidate to bolster their defensive options, with the Italy international yet to nail down a regular first-team place with Juventus.
The 23-year-old has started just 10 of the Old Lady's Serie A matches so far this season and could be open to a January move in search of more regular first-team football.
Arsenal are thought to be amongst the frontrunners for the £35m-rated defender, although they could face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Rugani officially joined Juventus in 2012, but did not make his first-team debut until 2015, since when he has made 54 appearances for the club across all competitions.
