Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic is reportedly a target for Atletico Madrid.
The 31-year-old has only appeared on three occasions in the Premier League this season and has made just one outing for the club in all competitions since the start of October.
As it stands, Matic's contract at Old Trafford will expire at the end of the season, although the 20-time English champions do have the option of triggering a further 12 months.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Atletico are chasing the experienced midfielder's signature ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
Diego Simeone's side could attempt to agree a cut-price fee with United next month, although they would, as it stands, be free to discuss terms over a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Matic, who has also been linked with Italian giants Inter Milan, has made 94 appearances for his current club since arriving from Chelsea in July 2017.
