Bologna are reportedly ready to hand Zlatan Ibrahimovic a lucrative contract in order to secure the Swede's services during the January transfer window.

Bologna are reportedly preparing to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic a lucrative 18-month contract.

Having spent the last two seasons at Los Angeles Galaxy, Ibrahimovic is likely to return to Europe, where he is currently being linked with a wide range of clubs.

Manchester United are allegedly keen to secure a reunion with the 38-year-old, while Italy and Spain have each been suggested as potential destinations.

According to Correire dello Sport, Bologna are ready to enter the race for the Swede by putting together a proposal worth £8m per year.

However, Ibrahimovic has previously indicated that he would only be prepared to join a club who are challenging for the league title.

Bologna sit in 11th position in the Serie A standings after winning just three of their opening 10 fixtures.
