Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes is reportedly unlikely to join Manchester United this summer despite a host of speculation surrounding the Portugal international.
United have been strongly linked with a swoop for the 24-year-old, who scored 32 times and registered 18 assists in 53 appearances for his club during the 2018-19 campaign.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Red Devils were preparing a £49m bid for the Portuguese in the hope of securing his signature before the end of the month.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the majority of the speculation this summer has come from Portugal rather than Manchester, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side not viewing Fernandes as a priority.
United, who will continue their pre-season preparations against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, have already completed summer deals for Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has reportedly decided against meeting up with the squad in Shanghai in order to complete transfer business in the UK.
