Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal with Serie A side Lecce to sign versatile full-back Patrick Dorgu.
The Red Devils have been left frustrated in the January transfer market thus far, with head coach Ruben Amorim yet to bolster his squad with any new additions ahead of the February 3 deadline.
It is understood that Man United are on the lookout for a new wing-back, primarily a left-footed player as injury-prone Luke Shaw is still sidelined and Tyrell Malacia is allegedly free to leave on loan.
Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui, two right-footed players, have predominantly operated on the flanks under Amorim, while both Amad Diallo and Antony have also taken up wide roles, although the latter has now joined Real Betis on loan.
Man United have identified 20-year-old Denmark international Dorgu as someone who has the potential to seamlessly slot into Amorim's system, and talks between the Red Devils and Lecce have taken place.

Man United finalising deal to sign Patrick Dorgu
Lecce president Sticchi Damiani recently warned that he is still keen to keep Dorgu, although he did admit that the Italian outfit would have to be "logical" over a possible departure.
A recent report claims that Man United have grown confident that they can secure the services of the youngster before the winter transfer window slams shut.
Now, talkSPORT states that Man United are finally set to complete the signing of Dorgu after agreeing a deal upwards of £29m with Lecce.
The report adds that the two clubs will now finalise a payment structure, before the full-back can be given permission to travel to Manchester for a medical.

Who is Man United-bound Patrick Dorgu?
Born in Copenhagen, Dorgu is of Nigerian descent and began his career in the academies of Danish duo Husum Boldklub and Nordsjaelland, before joining Lecce in 2022.
The 6ft 2in wideman, who is comfortable playing on either flank as a full-back or winger, made his senior debut for Lecce in August 2023 and has since developed into a first-team regular for the Serie A club.
Across all competitions, Dorgu has made 57 appearances for Lecce, scoring three goals in 21 Italian top-flight matches so far this season, while he has also earned four senior international caps for Denmark.
Both Liverpool and Napoli were credited with an interest in Dorgu earlier this month, but it appears that Man United have now won the race for his signature.
