Liverpool are reportedly set to battle it out with Manchester United and Manchester City for the signing of Benfica's Enzo Fernandez.
Having only moved to Portugal at the end of last season from River Plate, he is already earning admirers from some of Europe's elite.
This season has already seen him feature 23 times across all competitions, scoring three and assisting four times, as his Benfica side sit unbeaten on top of the Primeira Liga.
According to the Portuguese media outlet Record, Liverpool are ready to battle Man City for the signing of the midfielder in the January transfer window.
Man United are also being linked with the player, with the Red Devils reportedly 'crazy' about the Argentinian midfielder.
The report states that it would take paying his €120m (£105m) release clause in order for Fernandez to leave Benfica this winter.
Fernandez has also been included in Argentina's 28-man preliminary squad for the World Cup and will be hoping to make the final cut having featured in the most recent international squad in September.
