Liverpool allegedly continue to consider making an approach for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Earlier this month, it was widely reported that the Premier League leaders had opted against paying £54m for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, seemingly letting in Chelsea to sign the Germany international.
The stance naturally throws up uncertainly over a potential offer for Koulibaly, with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis looking to receive £90m for the Napoli international.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Jurgen Klopp remains keen to add the centre-back to his squad later in 2020.
The report says that Liverpool intend to be active during the next window, despite suggestions that they are prepared to stick with the majority of their current squad and promote younger talent.
Manchester United and Manchester City have also been linked with an offer for the 28-year-old.
