Manchester City have reportedly entered the race to sign Marseille youngster Boubacar Kamara.
While the 20-year-old has made 24 starts in Ligue 1 this season, the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic could lead to Marseille being prepared to listen to offers for the prospect.
According to Le 10 Sport, City have identified the young Frenchman as a potential addition to their squad.
Kamara is capable of playing at centre-back and in defensive midfield - positions which may make him a like-for-like replacement for Fernandinho.
However, Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the situation ahead of the next transfer window.
Kamara currently has just over two years left on his contract, giving Marseille some leeway when it comes to demanding a significant fee.
