Manchester United would reportedly be in prime position to sign Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger this summer if Thomas Tuchel becomes the club's new head coach.
Tuchel's position as Chelsea manager continues to be called into question due to the off-the-field uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, and Man United have allegedly added the German to their shortlist of targets.
The Red Devils also continue to be linked with Rudiger, who has been unable to agree a new contract with the Blues, meaning that, as it stands, he will be available on a free transfer at the end of June.
According to Football Insider, the 20-time English champions are 'confident' of winning the race for Rudiger if Tuchel arrives as their new head coach.
The report claims that the Germany international has 'an excellent relationship' with his current manager at Stamford Bridge and would be keen to play under him at Old Trafford.
Rudiger is believed to have agreed a fresh contract with Chelsea before sanctions were placed on the London club's Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
The 29-year-old, also linked with Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, has scored three times and registered four assists in 41 appearances for the Blues during the 2021-22 campaign.
