Real Madrid star Luka Modric has been linked with a summer move to Manchester United.
The 32-year-old, who is deemed one of the finest midfielders in the world by many fans and pundits, has been instrumental at the Bernabeu for the last five-and-a-half years.
Modric was pursued by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012 when the Croatian played for Tottenham Hotspur but was instead sold to the La Liga giants.
According to the Manchester Evening News, however, Modric is expected to be moved on as part of Real's end-of-season overhaul following their sub-par exploits this term.
The report goes on to claim that bookmakers have made United favourites to sign the former Dinamo Zagreb man ahead of Spurs, with Paris Saint-Germain in with an outside shot.
Modric has made 244 appearances for Real, scoring 13 goals and registering 35 assists.
