Manchester United have reportedly shown interest in Sunderland's teenage midfielder Chris Rigg.
The 16-year-old scored on his league debut in the Black Cats 5-0 thrashing of Southampton last week.
At the age of 16 years and 76 days, only Jude Bellingham has scored in the EFL at a younger age than Rigg.
Given his huge promise, The i claims that Man United are keeping tabs on the youngster, who is being likened to fellow Wearside local Jordan Henderson.
Rigg was in the headlines last season after making his senior debut aged just 15, and he looks set to have even more involvement in the first-team this season under Tony Mowbray.
Jude's brother Jobe Bellingham has also been given regular starts at the Stadium of Light this season despite being just 17.

Rigg is not quite at the stage where he has broken into the starting XI just yet, but the manager appears keen to continue his progression.
Mowbray told the i that Rigg will be in the matchday squad all season, fighting for a place in the side.
The youngster has already made his bow at youth level for England's Under-18s too, making four appearances so far in 2023.
Along with Man United, it is believed that Sunderland's bitter rivals Newcastle United are also interested in the young prodigy.
Rigg's family are all Newcastle fans, but the player has spent almost his entire childhood with the Sunderland academy.
