Manchester United are looking to beat neighbours Manchester City to the signing of Fiorentina midfielder Juan Cuadrado, according to reports.
The 26-year-old has come under criticism for his recent performances in the Viola shirt, with manager Vincenzo Montella claiming that Cuadrado 'wasn't focused' during their recent Europa League game against Dinamo Minsk, amid transfer speculation.
According to The Daily Star, Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal sent a scout to watch the Colombia international during that match, and is eager to bring him to Old Trafford in January.
Cuadrado starred for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup as the South American nation reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
