Manchester United are reportedly confident of completing the signing of Jadon Sancho this summer, despite facing competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
A host of top clubs have been linked with a move for the in-form 19-year-old, but recent reports have suggested that United and Chelsea are now leading the race for his signature.
United are in the market for attacking reinforcements after only bringing in Odion Ighalo as a fresh striking option since the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, while Chelsea are keen to sign a new winger with the futures of Willian and Pedro still uncertain.
Dortmund are reluctant to sell one of their star assets, but The Mirror reports that they are increasingly resigned to losing him this summer and would be willing to cash in should they receive a big-money bid.
Sancho is expected to command a Premier League-record fee of up to £120m, and the report claims that United are confident that they will win the race for the England international.
Sancho played for Manchester City before joining Dortmund for £8m in 2017, since when he has scored 29 goals and registered 40 assists in just 84 first-team appearances for the club.
The teenager has been in fine form again this term, directly contributing to 32 goals in 29 outings across all competitions, including scoring 12 and creating 14 in 19 Bundesliga games.
