Manchester United are becoming increasingly frustrated by Edinson Cavani's injury problems, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly becoming increasingly frustrated by Edinson Cavani's fitness.

The 34-year-old has impressed for the Red Devils during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring seven times and contributing two assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.

The Uruguay international returned from a muscular problem to feature against Crystal Palace on March 3 but has since missed games against Manchester City and AC Milan due to a knock.

Cavani is also a major doubt to face West Ham United on Sunday night, and according to the Manchester Evening News, Man United are frustrated with the striker's recent absence.

The report claims that the South American had been cleared by medical stuff to feature in some of the recent matches but declared himself unavailable.

Cavani's current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire this summer, but the club have the option of activating an additional 12 months until the summer of 2022.

The former Paris Saint-Germain forward continues to be linked with a move to Boca Juniors, though, and his father recently admitted that his son is 'not comfortable' in Manchester.
